Within a few hours of meeting Stefano, he had taken us to churches, a cemetery, and a convent that my grandmother’s family was associated with.
He introduced us to priests and a mayor who knew of my family. He showed us a painting my great uncle, a friar had painted, and the home where the family had lived. He enabled us to communicate with the neighbors who had known family members.
He is an amazing translator!
Stefano investigated and clarified family legends that had been passed down by word of mouth. Because of Stefano, I now feel a familial connection to Italy.
He has given me the keys to my heritage, including a meeting with four of my Italian second cousins and their families.
I give a heartfelt recommendation to Southern Italy Travel and especially Stefano.
